A Webquest – Blogs and RSS
Im Zuge der Überlegungen, wie man das Internet sinnvoll in Lernprozesse integrieren und gleichzeitig zum Aufbau von Medienkompetenz einsetzen kann, sind Webquests entstanden. Von add new knowledge werden Prozess und Ziel folgendermaßen beschrieben:
„Aufgaben, Arbeitsschritte und Quellen sind zum Teil vorstrukturiert und sollen einen „lost in cyberspace“ verhindern. Während der Lehrende das Angebot auswählt oder selbst erstellt, die Gruppenarbeit koordiniert sowie konkrete Arbeitsschritte betreut, arbeiten die Lernenden weitgehendst selbstständig mit dem Medium Internet.“
Da ich mich bisher kaum diesem Thema gewidmet habe, zitiere ich die Arbeitsanleitung zu diesem Webquest, der sich an „Educators“ richtet und diese an das Thema „Blogs“ heranführen will, ausführlich. Ein Besuch lohnt sich!
„Your task has four steps:
First, with a small group you will examine several different web sites, looking at common characteristics of blogs. You will report back to the larger group common features of blogs and how they may differ from typical web pages.
Second, your small group will inspect several more sites. You will work together to describe the key features of a blog and how blogs might be used in education.
Third, you will work individually to create a blog of your own. (Relax, you need no knowledge of html or web design).Your blog may be on any topic that interests you. (It is the process of blogging, not the content of the blog, that we will be examining in this step).
Finally, you will participate in a discussion regarding a variety of blogging tools including sites that host blogs (for free and for a fee), software for running your own blogs, RSS feeds, and News Aggregators.“ (via elearnspace)
